Do I need a script from my doctor?
You do not need a script to schedule and attend your physiotherapy appointment. You only need a script if you are using your insurance coverage and your plan requires one. Please check with your individual plan to see if they require a script.
How do I access the exercise program my physiotherapist sent to me?
Please watch the video above for a step by step guide on how to access your exercise program.
Step 1: Visit our website at www.sportmedicinephysiotherapy.com (you are currently on our website if you are reading this)
Step 2: Click "Book Now" in the top right corner
Step 3: In the top left corner you'll see "Hello. Are you a current patient? Sign in", click this link
Step 4: Sign in using the email and password you used to fill out your pre-assessment paperwork. If you can't remember your password, click on the "Forgot your username or password?" link to reset it
Step 5: From here you should be able to access everything in your Jane account. Your exercise program should be under "documents". Make sure you fully open this document/download it as it may have more than one page
*Please note, you may have received an email link that allowed you to access your program. This link will eventually expire for security measures. Please follow the instructions above.
How do I book online?
Please watch the video above for a step by step guide on how to access book online
Step 1: Visit our website at www.sportmedicinephysiotherapy.com (you are currently on our website if you are reading this)
Step 2: Click "Book Now" in the top right corner
Step 3: You can choose to book based on the type of 'treatment' you are looking for or by 'practitioner'. Please note, scheduling based on 'treatment' will only show the treatment types provided by all practitioners. For example, pelvic health is not offered by all practitioners so it does not show up on the list.
Step 4: After selecting the 'practitioner' option, click on which type of appointment you'd like to book (orthopaedic assessment, pelvic health treatment, etc.)
Step 5: An online booking calendar will show availble appointment times for your selection. Please make sure you select the appropriate type of appointment you would like - different appointments require varied time slots
If you're unable to find a date/time you'd like, please feel free to reach out or add yourself to our waitlist (found at the bottom of the calendar page)
Am I covered for pelvic health physiotherapy?
Pelvic health physiotherapy falls under 'regular' physiotherapy coverage in your insurance plan. Therefore, if your insurance covers physiotherapy, it will also cover pelvic health physiotherapy.
Should I reschedule my appointment if my injury has flared up or I re-injured myself?
You should definitely keep your appointment! This is actually one of the best times to come in to physiotherapy. Even if you feel you can't physically do much, this is an opportunity to figure out strategies to manage your symptoms if this happens again (like if you were away on vacation).
