We are currently looking for a self-driven and skilled Contractor Physiotherapist to join our team. This flexible role is ideal for physiotherapists seeking the independence of a contractor position while still benefiting from the support and resources of a reputable clinic.

Position Overview

As a Contractor Physiotherapist at Sport Medicine Physiotherapy, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population. You will work with patients to assess, diagnose, and treat musculoskeletal conditions, injuries, and other physical health issues. This role offers a unique opportunity to operate within a professional clinic setting, with access to cutting-edge equipment, while maintaining the independence that comes with contractor status.

Clinic model: 

1:1 patient care, with 60-minute initial assessments and 30-minute follow-up appointments, allowing time for thorough assessment, hands-on treatment, rehabilitation, and education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical health, injuries, and mobility.
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Provide hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and other treatment modalities.
  • Educate patients on self-management strategies, injury prevention, and overall physical wellness.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with clinic policies and legal requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals within the clinic to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Contribute to the clinic’s positive work culture and help foster patient relationships built on trust and respect.
  • Promote clinic services within your professional network and community.

Qualifications

  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario - required.
  • MScPT or equivalent – requiredRelevant educational placement experience - required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical physiotherapy setting.
  • Experience or interest in treating sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions, and rehabilitation.
  • Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in creating individualized rehabilitation programs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload and schedule.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in patient documentation.
  • Professional liability insurance as an independent contractor - required.
  • Previous experience in private practice or as a contractor is an asset, but not mandatory.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards

  • Collaborate with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals

  • Build and maintain a strong patient caseload and professional presence within the clinic

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree

  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario

  • Professional liability insurance (independent contractor)

  • Strong interest or experience in sports and musculoskeletal care

  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
